Wenyasha, a 28-year-old musician already had one album under his sleeves and the latest offering is expected to raise the stakes for the musician whose career began in 2015.

Ziso raMwari was produced by Wenyasha’s brother, Tafadzwa Chingono, a multi instrumentalist who has had experience of playing for gospel guru Shingisai Suluma.

He also worked with Mokoomba guitarist, Trust Samende and Travor Musariri on bass whose local flare added a unique flavour to the music.

In the song, Wenyasha testifies God’s protection over his life and brags of how God loves him.

“This song seeks to inspire people to appreciate God’s love and protection over their lives. We take for granted the life we live and due to hardships, we sometimes fail to say thank you for the blessings,” said Wenyasha.

“God is always watching over us, hence evil cannot triumph. So, I implore everyone to take time everyday just to give thanks to God.”

The song, which started trending on online stores with more than 100 streams during the first 24 hours of release, has also gotten a number of downloads on online stores, much to the delight of the musician.

Most streams and downloads were made in the United States and United Kingdom.

Endorsed by several artists, Ziso raMwari is set to scale to dizzy heights, as evidenced by several YouTube users uploading the song for fans.

“I am glad the song has done very well on online stores, which is where most artists should emphasise their marketing since CD sales are plummeting. Through social media, I have seen people appreciate the music and my growing followership has been very supportive,” he said.

Wenyasha, who recently travelled to South Africa after a couple of invites, is positive about his musical career, which he believes is anchored on God and service to His people.

“I had about three engagements in Johannesburg where I had two worship services and one concert in Bramfontein. I must say people love the music in spite of the language barrier, although I have begun the process of translating most of my songs into other languages like Zulu, Sotho, Ndebele, Swahili and Venda, among others,” said Wenyasha.

Wenyasha is set to release one more single this year featuring high-riding worship musician Elard Cherayi and UK based, Benjamin Hamandishe.

A journalist by profession, Wenyasha believes he can make a difference in both worlds.
