Most political analysts were quick to give credit only to the high literacy rate among Zimbabweans for the peaceful events that ensued last week following the military intervention to resolve the political and economic crisis in the country. The truth is that most citizens of this great southern African nation are God-fearing and the numbers had been rising with the advent of new churches.

Local gospel musicians, their managers and fans who I interviewed praised God for the love, sense of unity and peace that prevailed which left the rest of the world in awe.

Charles Charamba

We all need to introspect, correct our mistakes on the backdrop of forgiveness. It’s never easy to forgive. It’s not a sign of weakness when we forgive. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, but it’s the power to let go once we remember any unjust thing of the past.

I salute all the gospel musicians in the country who continued to preach hope to the nation in the face of difficulties the nation has been facing. Bless you gospel musicians.

The manner in which the nation handled its affairs in the previous few days clearly reflects that we are not only an evangelised people, but we are doers of the Word. Surely, God is with Zimbabwe.

Reverend Togarepi Chivaviro

We are joining every Zimbabwean in the celebrations, and it’s not much about who has gone or who is coming in, but a great hope for a better Zimbabwe.

We pray for freedom of airwaves so that we have more radio stations and above all, more than one television station. Death of piracy and a revival of the recording industry.

People interpret our songs differently: Ebenezer is a celebratory track that is suitable for someone who has gone through a lot to achieve something, Tariro Yangu places God at the centre of all hope rather than man — God indeed surprised us with the turn of events. Maranatha is a prophetic track calling upon divine intervention to our situation. to what’s going on. People interpret our songs the way they want.

Stanley Gwanzura (Pastor G) Let’s focus on peace, progress and prosperity. No to hate speech, violence and political polarisation. We need to forgive political enemies and focus on building Zimbabwe.

Trymore Bande

I thank God for our peace-loving nation Zimbabwe. I encourage all citizens to stick to the Word of God. Above all, prayer is a fundamental principle between man and God, it is through prayer that God blesses his people. Lastly, God is the foundation of everything in heaven and on the earth.

The Bible says in Isaiah 43:19. “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Zechariah 4:6, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Again and above all things, I respect ZDF commander General Constantino Chiwenga for always reminding the church of its place in his addresses to the nation. It’s very possible that in all this joy and feeling of freedom, people forget their place or their role as Christians. Yes, we celebrate but we keep looking unto Him who made and makes it all possible. We thank Him for what he has done for us.

Pastor Daisy Mukariri

As Christians, the Word of God commands us to pray for our leaders and acknowledge that every leader is appointed by God. We are not there to point fingers or say negative statements about situations. We know that whatever is happening, God has good plans for the nation of Zimbabwe. God loves Zimbabwe and knows how to wipe our tears.

Minister Innocent Njanji:

I want to say to all Zimbabweans that this is a sign God loves us as He said in Jeremiah 29: 11, “I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you Zimbabwe”.

So, dear brethren, let’s not lose hope.God always fulfills His promises, let’s stick to His ways, all the Egyptians that we see today we shall see no more. Peace be unto you.

Flame B There is a season and time in this life that God has ordained. I want to believe that God also had that planned and He knows what He wants to do in this new season He has brought us to. It’s all in his plan and all we do is thank Him for everything. Shalom to the nation of Zimbabwe.. Mthandazo Nyoni We are calling for people to remain calm and pray fervently for their nation. The battle is not over. Yes, (Robert) Mugabe is gone but that doesn’t mean Christians should fold their hands and keep quite. It’s high time we pray harder for our nation than before. We need God to give our leaders wisdom. They must lead us, not rule us. We are fighting against corruption and nepotism, among other challenges.

Daniel Matambira (gospel music fan) It shows God inspires His word even through music giving light to live as his children through his Word in music. with him nothing is impossible.

Munei Nyoni (Bande manager) 2 Chronicles says: If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, I will heal their country, bless their land make it fruitful. Therefore, humility before the Lord and those in charge is important. l You may contact the columnist, Albert Masaka on Email: [email protected]
