Mangaliso Tsepiso Ndlovu (31) was convicted by Bulawayo magistrate Sharon Roseman after pleading guilty to charges of unlawful entry and theft last Thursday.

He is yet to be sentenced after Mabandi indicated that they were now negotiating an out-of-court settlement.

According to prosecutors, between March 5 and 12 this year, Ndlovu gained entry into Mabandi’s house using a duplicate key and stole $4 000 which was stashed in a wardrobe.

The theft was discovered on May 22 and Mabandi reported the matter to the police. Ndlovu was arrested the following day and it was discovered that between April 18 and May 16 he had broken into the same house and stole $100.
