The launch event took place at The Homestead conference centre in Bulawayo last week.

The book takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery where one shall pick up on qualities that have an influence on where their life is and be guided towards smashing their limitations.

“The book looks at a society where our youth are told there is nothing here for them, they believe it,” Du Plooy said.

“It’s economically draining for some who have the potential and are not able to practice their full potential.

“So, we want to have a look at what we have in our habits down to our everyday life and bring out and make the best of what we have there by smashing the limitations imposed.”

Du Plooy said the book was also inspired by life experiences.

“Having come from a life of fear of the unknown and having experienced certain traits of rejection from peers, I fell into the limitation trap and I began to feel I did not have the right qualities to fit into that,” he said.

The 34-year-old author said he had no confidence in what he did before he started writing the book.

“I was a procrastinator a few years ago before I got involved with a network marketing company, which emphasised a lot on personal development where I personally met Ed Blunt and other Hollywood life coaches,” he said.

“They inspired me to write the book because I realised since my teenage days, I always wrote short stories, but never put them together. Then I started writing the book that took me nine months to put the content together.”

The Esigodini-born author is an ambulance technician and life coach. He is a married father of two children.
