Reaping rewards of angering the gods

letter to my people BY DOCTOR STOP IT

My Dear People, It is now finally dawning on some gangsters that being in power is no stroll in the park.

The country is just refusing to be governed.

It all goes back to how some people illegally grabbed power, violating the constitution of the land in the process.

There are some who believe that in removing Gushungo and Mphoko, the gangsters angered the spirits of the land.

Which is why nothing is moving for the gangsters.

To start with, the country has been struck by a severe drought which has seen many people and animals starving in many parts of the country.

Other traditionalists point out that under the gangsters’ watch, the country has witnessed the most devastating cyclone in the form of Idai.

The traditionalists say this could be attributed to the blood spilled on August 1 last year when unarmed civilians were shot and some of them killed by soldiers.

Blood flowed again early this year during the stay away when members of the security forces were reported to have violated residents in Harare and Bulawayo mainly.

The bloodbath which has characterised the leadership style of Lacoste and his gangsters could have angered the spirits of the land, argue the traditionalists.

And for that, they say, the Lacoste gangsters shall not know peace.

This is why their rule has been very turbulent, including an attempt in Bulawayo to wipe out the entire leadership through a grenade attack.

Incredibly, there has been no arrest of the perpetrator who committed the act in broad day light in the presence of thousands of people.

Lacoste had earlier said the people behind the grenade attack would be dealt with after the elections but his bosses must have agreed to abandon the idea.

But get one thing for sure. The gods are angry. And as the traditionalists are saying, the bouts of illnesses among those who embarrassed Gushungo could be a sign.

All the madness started when a whole president went on national television to announce a fuel increase that has created all the problems Zimbabweans find themselves in.

Many have described the decision as foolish and suicidal.

Jorum implementing what? So finally, Dhakisi Lacoste has seen the light. It has finally dawned on him that Joram Gumbo was a failure in terms of stabilising the fuel sector and power provision. But because people are appointed based on their loyalty to the Lacoste faction, it was difficult for Dhakisi to fire his Midlands crony. Then someone came up with a brilliant idea.

Make Joram one of those useless ministers of State for Presidential Affairs.

After all, he will still be called a chef and be entitled to a salary, luxury vehicles and other freebies.

To some, the problem is he will be responsible for implementation and monitoring.

The question they have been asking is what will Joram be implementing and monitoring.

Can he implement or monitor anything given his failures at the energy and power development ministry?

Meanwhile, Fortune Chasi, long regarded by neutrals as one of the few or only level-headed persons in the ruling class should take his promotion with caution. Lots of caution.

With many Zimbabweans touting him as the next leader of the ruling party and possibly the country, some people are feeling threatened.

And what better way to reverse Fortune’s political fortunes by throwing him in the political deep end.

Give him a ministry which is littered with many landmines such as the one responsible for availing fuel to power the millions of vehicles on our roads and electricity for domestic and industrial use.

What were they smoking?

There was a group of the well connected who went on a shopping spree to London which was disguised as a business trip to benefit ordinary Zimbabweans.

Some must have been quaffing copious amounts of whiskey because some of the statements were clearly alcohol induced.

It is also possible that some may have been smoking very illegal substances on that trip of shame.

Take for example this person who had no shame in falsely claiming that fuel consumption in Zimbabwe had increased and it was a clear sign that production in the manufacturing sector had picked up.

When those close to authority have the arrogance to shamelessly lie to their hosts and Zimbabweans at large, then we should realise that we are in serious trouble.

Dead BC did not help matters either by running the story on their main news.

Because Dead BC parrots any nonsense spewed by any lunatic, in the end the joke was on them for running with a foolish story.

The unforgiving social media really made the Dead BC crew look like people with no brains by sharing it across  the different platforms.

Gukurahundi on the horizon

Home Affairs minister Cain Mathema sometime ago wasted everybody’s time by claiming there was a plot to unseat the government through a workshop planned for Bulawayo.

That was obviously not true. The story has mutated this time with The Horrid newspaper saying the workshop is taking place in the Maldives with Serbians being the tutors of how to unseat governments.

According to the story in The Horrid, some NGO activists are being trained to use peaceful mechanisms so that they use violent mechanisms to unseat the government!

You then factor in the persecution of Chief Ndiweni and wild statements made by Victor Matemadanda and a worrying picture begins to emerge.

Watch this space.
