A 20-YEAR-OLD bar lady at night club was arraigned before a Guruve magistrate on Friday for allegedly stealing beer, money, a swipe machine and cellphone belonging to her employer.
Ruvimbo Mararike pleaded not guilty when she appeared before magistrate Shingirai Mutiro, who granted her $50 bail. She will appear in court on August 7.
Prosecutor Albert Charehwa told the court that on July 21 at around 11pm, Mararike closed the club and took a swipe machine, EcoCash cellphone, 24 bottles of Breeze beer, 20 Bottles of Bouncer beers and 20 packets of Madison cigarettes.
The club owner Hilary Tinashe Chivavaya discovered the theft the following day when he realised that $597, which was in the safe, was missing.
