WARRIORS captain Knowledge Musona may have endeared himself with his suitors KAS Eupen after he assisted in the opening goal that set the tone for the big win against Dutch football giants PSV Eindhoven in a friendly match played at the iconic Aspire Dome 1 in Qatar yesterday.
Musona, who is looking to end a forgettable stint at 34-time Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht, is currently undergoing trials at the Belgium top-flight league side.
The 29-year-old striker set up the club’s top scorer Danijel Milicevic for the first goal of the match in the 24th minute.
PSV levelled the scores 10 minutes later through Guinea-Bissau striker Bruma.
Flavio Ciampichetti then scored the winning goal just before the hour mark, Nilicevic this time the provider as Eupen, who currently sit 13th in the 16-team Belgian Pro League, earned a morale-boosting winter break victory.
It was Musona’s second appearance for Eupen after he was introduced at half time by Spanish coach Beñat San José as a replacement for the club’s chief striker Jon Bautista in 2-0 loss to Ajax Amsterdam on Thursday.
Against Ajax, Musona played as a striker, but was used as a winger yesterday as San Jose allowed him to play the whole match.

Musona has struggled for game time since he joined Anderlecht in May 2017 and spent the second half of the season at Lokeren last year.
The former Kaizer Chiefs marksman has featured for Anderlecht 10 times in the year and a half he has been with the club, scoring once and managing two assists.
Musona has been in Belgian top-flight football since January 2015 when KV Oostende signed him from German side TSG Hoffenheim and went on to enjoy his best moments at the club.
In his two-and-a-half-year stay at Oostende, Musona played 112 matches scoring 41 goals with 18 assists before he was lured by Anderlecht.
Following reports that Musona might be headed to South Africa to play for Mamelodi Sundown, it’s now highly likely that he will remain in Belgium.
