letter to my people:BY DOCTOR STOP IT
My Dear People,
Here is to hoping you had a happy Gushungo Day on Friday despite all the hardships that the Lacoste factional government has created after illegally removing Gushungo.
I am sure most of you are still numbed by the breathtaking incompetence being exhibited by Ngwena and his clueless bunch of amateur clowns.
For a country that has a population that is always on the hunt for petrol or diesel for their vehicles, it is grossly insensitive for the Lacoste factional government to have ED move around in a grossly huge motorcade that guzzles thousands of litres of the precious commodity.
Also, can somebody advise him that the wailing sirens are just too loud and a huge embarrassment and reflect a lack of taste and sophistication?
Maybe the guy called ED does not listen to the advice that he gets from the people around him.
Let’s face it, the guy receives a lot of advice so it is a question of failure to implement on advice given or he does not take the advice that he is given.
I mean the guy has two vice-presidents to advise him, more than two dozen members of cabinet to assist, the Polad gangsters, the politburo, central committee, presidential advisors.
We will not mention the indigenous church advisors and other seers
So, as we have said earlier, either the advice is not being heeded or the levels of incompetence are so acute that even when advice is given, nobody has the capacity to act and implement it.
They have the luxury to do that because most opposition leaders are actually Zanu PF members who are doing their best to ensure that they remain in the opposition forever.
That is a discussion for another day.
The roller meal database nonsense
So our Finance and Economic Development minister in the Lacoste factional government, Mthuli Ncube, is currently seized with coming up with a database for vulnerable urban dwellers?
A whole minister spending time talking about roller-meal database?
What did we do to deserve this? Instead of telling us about which industries he has opened or providing increased employment creation statistics, the boy tells us that he is compiling a list of the urban poor!
This takes the biscuit.
As one cynic observed, while Mthuli is busy compiling the database which they are likely to publish, we hope he will publish the list of those who received farm mechanisation implements, including our friends in MDC.
We also hope they will publish the list of command agriculture implements beneficiaries and what they have been able to pay back so far, if any.
While still on the transparency and good governance zone, it may help to publish the report on land taken by Harare’s land barons, which the Lacoste factional government is using as a private weapon to intimidate those who are implicated in the findings.
ED: Indicating left, turning right
It was really reassuring to learn from Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor John Mangudya that Zimbabwe was successfully on its way to enforcing the use of the Zimbabwe dollar.
We are sure he meant well.
During the same week, an announcement was made that a certain group that sells fuel to motorists had been awarded licences to sell their fuel in US dollars.
A couple of questions would emerge from the above-named issues.
The first being is the RBZ aware that local currency is being sold on the streets and the question being: Who is supplying the money changers with local currency to flog on the streets around the country?
Why is a company, which has been linked to a very, very, very, very senior comrade being the major beneficiary of the right to sell their product in US dollars?
What links are there between the sons of a very, very, very, very senior comrade to the illegal selling of currency on the streets which also includes the illegal trade in gold?
The MDC and its threats to journalists
Over the years, it has become clear that the MDC is just a bad copycat of Zanu PF.
For years, they have, with justification, accused Zanu PF of being a violent political party.
However, if the current reports being received are anything to go by, the MDC as a political party is a serious threat to the well-being of journalists in Zimbabwe.
Their security departments, which seem to be manned by all manner of hooligans, have become a real threat to journalists.
We hope they will not say their security departments have been infiltrated by Zanu PF.
