An anchor is a device normally made of metal, which is connected to a vessel to prevent the vessel from drifting when in a body of water. Anchors can hold into place these vessels even when there are storms and waves. Without an anchor, a vessel drifts away with the slightest movement in the water. God’s Word acts as an anchor.
Man has a tendency to imagine a life without storms and does not usually prepare for storms and those that always speak of the need for preparation are considered to be crazy. Noah was victimised for his beliefs and many considered him the nation’s mad man because he continuously spoke of a pending judgement.
Man will never pay attention to anyone who tries to speak, saying “prepare” there might be disaster for a person speaks of the need for preparation, one might be considered foolish. When the Covid-19 virus first began in China, many wished it away from their borders and did not take any precautions to protect their citizens. Because man has been programmed to expect the best outcome in every situation, he seldom sees the need to prepare for disaster.
The Bible carries warnings of even greater calamities than Covid-19 yet men choose to ignore these warnings. This book also has locked within its pages the secrets on how to overcome these situations when they arise. Like in the times of Noah, God has already sent a blueprint on how to be safe during these disasters.
The church is one of the institutions with solutions and has the answer to the current pandemic that has brought even the most advanced nations to their knees.
The church for years has warned the world of coming pandemics and difficulties, but it has fallen on deaf ears. Imagine in the days of Noah it had not rained on the whole earth and a single man began to build a ship saying judgement was coming that would cause it to rain upon the earth.
God, like in the days of Noah, has already provided a solution for every pending disaster. But the solutions the church provides seem to be foolishness to the learned.

Like Noah, there is a man out there whom God has given responsibility to build an ark or the infrastructure that can be a safe refuge in times of difficulties.
But most of the times such men are considered fools because they speak above men’s wisdom. God can release the scientific knowledge that will help men create a cure for Covid-19. Even before the pandemic, He put safe guides to ensure the loss of life would be minimal. This is the time for every man to pray and allow God to put in them the wisdom needed to overcome this demonic force. As man we overcame Ebola, the Spanish flu and many other pandemics, but we did not do so by our wisdom.
It is time men realised that there is need to have an anchor which is God’s Word. During hardships, the best thing is to pray and seek God’s wisdom. King Nebuchadnezzar was the king of one of the greatest kingdoms, but when he went through the most difficult period of his life, he was delivered only when he acknowledged that there is only one God who created all things.
It is time for global leaders to say there is only one God, the Maker of Heaven, and if we would pray and seek His will for our nations, He will save us, not only from this pandemic, but many other coming disasters. God bless you.
