When you hear God speaking to you it sounds like your local dialect, but God neither speaks English nor any language you are familiar with. God’s voice is translated by our minds to suit our environment and culture. Because of this, God is translated differently in each culture and it seems basic understanding of God shifts with each culture. This is good because it allows man to build a relationship with God from their own experiences and through their own culture.

It limits God because the people are confined by what their culture says and denotes. For example, if within your culture there is nothing that supports God’s ability to heal the sick or raise the dead, no matter how much you are taught about God’s ability to heal, your mind stops you from believing. The Pharisees made the Word of God of none effect because of their tradition. Mark 7:13 (KJV) “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” Though the Word of God is fluent and transcends beyond culture, the frames of our minds tend to limit God and box Him within our set of beliefs. Tradition limits God and at times stops people from noticing God if He speaks or instructs them outside of their culture.

For you to experience the fullness of God, you should allow Him to break down cultural walls that may force you to believe one aspect of God and ignore another. Apostle Paul had preached to the Galatian church and was later surprised how they were later trapped because of tradition. It’s the same problem the Galileans had when Jesus came back into their city and how he tried to heal them and many did not receive their healing because they had allowed past experience and knowledge to stop them from seeing Jesus as the Messiah and Healer.

If you want to experience God in His fullness, you must always go beyond the mind and your belief systems. Though God speaks in English, what He says is beyond your dialect. For you to experience God in His totality, you need to discover Him beyond your culture and language. Many are not comfortable because beyond the cultural walls, God reveals Himself differently.

He called Abraham to move away from his culture so that He could manifest Himself in a way that could have distorted his surroundings and family. Because many don’t want to leave these comfort zones, they never discover the fullness of God. If Abraham had remained among his people, he would not have experienced God in the way he did. Others declare the ability of God to heal and others deny His ability to still perform miracles. What separates them is their mindsets and belief systems. Anything you are not experiencing in God is a direct manifestation of your belief system. Change how you see God and you will be surprised by who He really is. It’s time to step out of your culture and which has framed your beliefs and adopt the culture of heaven which transcends the culture of man.

God bless you.
