Moses spent so much time in the presence of God that when he was coming down the mountain, the Bible records how the skin on his face was shining/glowing. When one spends time in the presence of God in, prayer there are parts of God’s glory or light that rub on to that person and as they walk away from prayer they are radiating with God’s glory.
The devil, because of the time he spent in the presence of God, got this rub-off and even after he was kicked out from heaven he still maintained that light. Just because there are miracles does not guarantee that one has a relationship with God.
Imagine the devil still has the anointing he received before he was chased from heaven, what more a man who at one time spent most of his time in prayer and in fellowship with God? Apostle Paul says when God gives an individual a gift he does not repent, meaning the gift remains his even without him or her having a relationship with God.
Many judge a man’s relationship with God with how well he preaches or prophecies, but one can do miracles when they are no longer connected to God and are living ungodly lives. Many assume false prophets are prophets that miss and prophecy in error. But false prophets can be more accurate than even real prophets. The manifestation of gifts is not a sign of being connected to God. The Bible says you will know them by their fruit. The easiest way to see if someone is connected to God and still has a relationship with God is through the fruits in their lives.
Many assume the devil has horns and a tail like how Hollywood represents him. But the Bible says the devil can appear as an angel of light, to show that the devil is attractive and to some extent beautiful. The only way to judge if it’s the devil or an angel of light is through the fruits and by hearing if the speech is consistent with God’s will. The devil can act as an angel of light, but it’s hard for him to maintain the act. He always has a way to reflect his true nature and if you pay attention and are able to discern you won’t be fooled.
Just because the prophecy is accurate or there are miracles does not mean that God is involved. Look beyond the miracle by searching for character or personality that consistently reflects God and a relationship with God. The Bible narrates how some will say I did miracles in your name and Jesus will say I never knew you. The word knew in the scripture means to relate. So Jesus in that statement says I never had a relationship with you. These individuals could have had a relationship once with Jesus but lost it, and through corruption maintained the gift without the giver of the gift.
The sad part of these individuals is that the Bible says they will lead many astray. I am not saying God uses perfect people, but look in the Bible, the example of David and Saul; they both lived sinful lives, but one of them would always repent. Saul justified his errors which led him into more errors and David would always repent of his errors.

Just because there are miracles does not mean God approves one’s errors. Learn to live in a way that brings glory to God. A relationship with God is more important than manifestation of gifts.
