A 30-year-OLD Marondera producer, Emmanuel Dell Munanga , has released a new Zimdancehall riddim dubbed Zim@41 as the nation celebrates 41 years of independence today.

Munanga, popularly known as GoodNyc in showbiz circles, runs the famous Goodlife Music Zimbabwe Studios in the high-density suburb of Dzivaresekwa.

The producer told this paper that the riddim was born out of patriotism and is inviting more artistes to come and “ride” on it.

“I did this riddim because some of the youths don’t know how important Independence Day is. We want youths to know that we must celebrate the freedom that was brought by our beloved liberation war fighters who sacrificed their lives for us to enjoy freedom,” GoodNyc said.

“We still need more artistes to be on this riddim, it is open for everyone. We have Jay C and Silent Killer on it.”

Some artistes who have adopted the riddim include Rodney Killer, Masony, Lutan Dizzy, Mr Early Morning, Queen Shamy, Shannaz 85, Jefferson, Loud H, Custard and Professor, among others.

The talented producer has done a number of successful riddims among them Cashlife with Cashlibs (2014 ), Next Episode Riddim (2015), 263 Rise Riddim (2016), Muchadzidza Zvakawanda Riddim (2017), Tirikuziva Zvirikuitika Riddim (2018), Stereo One Riddim (2019) and Streetlife Riddim (2020).

GoodNyc started producing music in 2009 and has worked with a number of popular Zimdancehall artistes.
