The World’s Menstrual Day is celebrated on May 28 each year.
Inspire Women and Children revealed yesterday that it would celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day with a workshop on reusable pads to be held at the Pelandaba Skills Centre.
“People with disabilities will be sharing their stories and challenges about menstruation,” Inspire Women and Children project manager Gift Muteletwa said.
“We are funding the events ourselves and supplying the reusable pads materials.
“We have received a few donations so far and we are hoping that people will bring more as we will use them for sponsoring our beneficiaries that are orphans, widows and single mothers to do vocational skills training.” he said.
