FC PLATINUM coach Norman Mapeza is doubtful that the trio of Donald Ngoma, Blessing Moyo and Raphael Muduviwa will be fit in time to take part in the remaining Chibuku Super Cup matches.

William Stima is the only player who has shown some signs of improvement in terms of recovering, giving Mapeza little hope that the 32-year-old could be involved in the next matches.

The former Warriors gaffer was hoping to have all his players involved in the cup competition, which is more of a pre-season tournament.

“They’re still out (the three players), maybe Stima might get involved,” Mapeza said yesterday.

In the absence of the injured Muduviwa, Mapeza reinvented Rahman Kutsanzira into a rightback, where he has been exceptional.

It was against Ngezi Platinum where he struggled to contain Denver Mukamba and his replacement Nigel Makumbe.

Midfield workhorse enforcer Kelvin Madzongwe has also been moved into central defence, where he partnered with Gift Bello in the absence of Stima.

Brian Banda has often been left holding the fort in central midfield.

With Bello set to miss the next two matches after a red card last week, Stima’s return might not have come at a better time.

The Zvishavane side still has a number of unused players who could bring more flair to the team.

Ralph Kawondera, Congolese forward Ellie Ilunga, Wallace Magalane, Denzel Khumalo and Hagiyazo Magaya are some of the players yet to feature this far.
