A Guruve man was sentenced to 27 years in jail for stealing three cattle from three different kraals.
Prosecutor Albert Charewa told the court that on April 4, Never Chakwesha (24) pounced on three different kraals at Ona Mapeto’s farm and stole three cattle at night.
Chakwesha was seen driving away the stolen cattle by other villagers who quizzed him and effected a citizens’ arrest.
He was convicted of stock theft by resident magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa.
