Prosecutors alleged that on August 13 around midnight at Tobela Night Club in Epworth, the accused and the now deceased were drinking beer while playing snooker.

A man from Epworth died after he was stabbed twice by a fellow imbiber outside a night club after the two had a dispute over missing snooker tokens.

The suspected murderer Blessed Muchenje was advised to approach the High Court for bail application when he appeared before Harare magistrate Artwell Sanyatwe facing murder charges last week.

Prosecutors alleged that on August 13 around midnight at Tobela Night Club in Epworth, the accused and the now deceased were drinking beer while playing snooker.

It is alleged that whilst inside the night club, a misunderstanding arose between the two over some missing tokens.

The heated argument degenerated into a fist fight.

Muchenje allegedly manhandled the now deceased outside the night club and later stabbed him twice on the shoulder and once on the back using an Okapi knife.

He fled from the scene leaving the now deceased lying on the ground whilst bleeding.

The now deceased was ferried to Domboramwari Clinic where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
