If God were to reveal everything He has predestined for you, you might never choose to walk the path set before you
“For we know in part and we prophesy in part.” — 1 Corinthians 13:9
Sometimes we ask God to show us more, but in His divine wisdom, He often withholds certain details. The Bible says, “We know in part,” because God understands our humanity. If He revealed both the glory and the suffering tied to our calling, many of us would walk away before we ever began.
Look at Jeremiah. God told him, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Imagine if, in the same season God awakened him to his calling, He also showed him all the rejection, persecution, and sorrow he would face. It’s likely Jeremiah would have shrunk back. And indeed, Jeremiah once cried out, “I will not speak again in Your name!” The pain was heavy—but the call was heavier.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13
God grants access only to what your strength can handle. But many miss certain positions because they never develop the strength required to qualify for them.
Even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, prayed, “Not My will, but Yours be done.” He was facing His greatest trial. Yet what gave Him the strength to endure the cross was the hope and glory that lay beyond the suffering. The Bible says, “For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross.” God allowed Him to go through that trial because He had the capacity to overcome it.
Do you have the capacity to overcome what you’re going through? Many never walk into their moment because they don’t trust His process—or believe that He’s already prepared them for the season He allowed them to enter.

You may ask, Why does God allow us to know only in part? Because full knowledge without full maturity can break us. Our faith has limits. In weakness, we might run from the very path that leads to our destiny.
There are prophetic seasons—divine appointments when things must happen. I once taught on Prophetic Timelines and explained how Moses acted 10 years too early. God had spoken to Abraham that Israel would be delivered after 400 years of bondage, but Moses acted at year 390. His heart was ready—but his character wasn’t. A decade of preparation could have produced a different Moses.
This teaches us something powerful: being called is not the same as being ready. You may be anointed to preach, but it might not yet be your time to preach. When the timing aligns with your becoming, that is when grace flows most fully.
Election follows formation.
When God shows you a part, He’s saying: “Become.”
Become the person who can carry the rest of the vision.
Many never reach their calling because they never become. They stay at the level of excitement or revelation, but they don’t endure the process that qualifies them for the rest.
So I ask you:
What has God called you to be?
Are you becoming it?
Because when you become, He will reveal the next part—and elect you for it.
