HIGHLANDERS will be out to beat ZPC Kariba on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match that could enhance Bulawayo City’s chances of another dance in the top league next year.

But Bulawayo City, with 33 points and sitting on position 15 will have to also win their own match tomorrow when they clash against another relegation-fighting side Harare City, who are already on the cliff’s edge, sitting on position 16 with 29 points with two games to the end.

Bulawayo City are just a point behind Highlanders’ opponents on Sunday, ZPC Kariba, and a win tomorrow and Bosso’s win would enhance their chances of survival.

Highlanders’ striker Toto Banda, who has been sidelined by injury for the better of the season, only to resurface recently, yesterday said he is back and will fight for Bosso and City’s causes.

“It has been long for me; some months being on injury. I am back in these last two games and will help the team with what I have. In this game, we will collect maximum points for our friends Bulawayo City to help them survive relegation and to help us in our quest for a top-four finish. I will give my best in these remaining two games,” Banda, son of former Highlanders’ striker, Tanny, said.

Bosso, who are on position five with 50 points, need the victory to end the season on a high note and coach Baltemar Brito said they would dedicate the game to the late Bosso 90 midfielder Caesar Dube, who died in a freak traffic accident on Sunday.

Caesar, son of another former Highlanders player Sizalobuhle Dube, died at a local hospital from injuries sustained after he allegedly fell from a moving vehicle.

Brito offered his condolences to Dube’s family.

“As Highlanders family we are sad. We knew the boy very well as coaches; even last week we trained with them (Bosso 90) two times on Wednesday and Thursday. It is sad news to us. We were sad and we want to send a word of condolences to the family and to people that are close to him because he was a good player but he was more than that; he was always smiling and gave the best that he could at training and the matches that we attended. Right now on this sad moment, as the Highlanders family, our wish is to win and dedicate the victory to him,” Brito said.
