With the league title race heating up, PSL has slated match day 27 games for mid-week next week when log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars will host Chicken Inn at Baobab as they seek to consolidate their lead.

FC Platinum, in second spot, make the long trip to Nyamhunga to face ZPC Kariba, while Highlanders host struggling Cranborne Bullets. Manica Diamonds entertain Dynamos at Gibbo.

The five top clubs have the entire weekend to fine-tune their squads ahead of the mid-week games.

League chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele said the postponement of the games was due to the fact that some of the local players were taking part in the Warriors-Zebras international friendly match.

“This serves to advise that the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match-day 27 fixtures scheduled for October 14 to 15 have been postponed. This is to pave the way for the international friendly match between Zimbabwe and Botswana which will be played on Saturday, October 14. The postponed fixtures shall be played on October 18 to19,” Ndebele said in a statement.
