National Darts Club Champions of Champions Tournament

MASHONALAND West Darts Club is set to host the 13th edition of the National Darts Club Champions of Champions Tournament on January 31 at Cam & Motor Sports Club in Kadoma.

This prestigious tournament marks the beginning of the darts season in Zimbabwe, bringing together top teams from across the country to compete for the coveted title.

The tournament is expected to attract 20 teams, including reigning champions A' Team from Mashonaland West.

The organisers have urged provinces that did not participate in 2025 to attend, emphasising the importance of increasing competition.

"It will be the Champion of Champions and provinces that did not turn up in 2025 are encouraged to attend this tournament to increase the level of competition.

Speaking to Mashonaland West Darts chairperson Debrahim Michael Shumba, he said, "We are ready to host our first event for 2026 in about over ten years since our province hosted National Darts events at Kutama College."

"As a norm we expect two top clubs to represent the province. Currently The Place Darts Club and Railton Darts Club are expected to represent in this tournament," he added

"Kadoma has the privilege to host this tournament and is third in the country after the decentralisation to provinces.

“As Mashonaland West Darts Club we are proud of this opportunity."

He also highlighted the province's efforts to develop junior darts, saying, "As for junior policy, we are a long way, but I am happy that we are making strides."

Some of the top teams expected to participate include Bindura Scorpions, Madziro Snipers, and Rio-Zim from Mashonaland West, and Gwanda District from Matabeleland South.

The tournament featured provincial club champions and their runners-up from all 10 provinces, making it a highly competitive event.

The Mashonaland West Darts Club is gearing up to showcase its hospitality and darts skills, and Club Championship is set to feature top Mashonaland West teams like The Place Darts Club, Homeground, Chastegate, and Golden Stars, who have dominated in the Chinhoyi and Kadoma Darts leagues.
