Letter from America: New Pope provokes anger among Republicans and Zionists!

The new pope, Cardinal Robert Prevost introduced himself in Rome.

With the slogan, “America First”, US Republicans and their Zionist friends have been riding a wave of success since the electoral victory in January 2025.

But despite this monumental victory, they have failed to capture certain pillars of society, namely, the great Catholic Church and the legacy media houses like New York Times and Washington Post.

The arrival of a new, younger and more vigorous pope into the fray has caused some dismay among Republicans and Zionists.

“Peace be with you!” The new pope, Cardinal Robert Prevost introduced himself in Rome.

He bowed reverently as he pronounced the name, Jesus. Known as a shy servant of Jesus Christ and the church, Pope Leo XIV was nevertheless willing to do battle with the devil and his loud-mouthed political disciples on earth.

His words were interpreted to refer to the Donald Trump administration.

“We do not need to be loud, (or) forceful communication, but rather communication that is capable of listening and gathering the voice of the weak who have no voice.” The Holy Father said quietly, with grace.

He further “reiterated” his sympathy, empathy and solidarity with “journalists who are imprisoned for telling the truth.”

Calling for peace, in the face of Republicans and Zionists boasting about the daily murder of babes and innocents in Gaza, was crossing the line.

Now if there was any proof that the Pope was “bad”, here it is.

They quickly went to the archives to find proof of the Pope’s “wickedness.” The US Catholic bishops have spoken with one voice about the Republicans’ anti-immigration policy as “uncharitable” while reminding Americans of God’s instructions to Israel. “Remember that you were once strangers in Egypt.”

This is proof that the Pope and the bishops are socialist, or worse, communists.

Since the presidency of John F. Kennedy (1960-1963), Catholic thinkers, under the influence of the Jesuit philosopher, Father John Courtney Murray (d 1967) were inclined to think that the church and state, guided by natural law, could live side by side in peace.

In fact, the US would lead the world in clerical accommodation with advanced technology.

This “compact” remained intact until former president Barak Obama sought to advance the same sex gender marriage as part of this secular moral accommodation.

Here was a sinner telling and redefining what was moral and what was not.

Here is the juicy part. The American black clergy sat silently while Obama eviscerated the very foundations of Christian life under the guise of “advanced accommodation with modernity.”

Father Robert Prevost (now Pope) was not silent in the face of evil. He expressed concern that the church was not awake to Western cultures promoting and creating “enormous sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the gospel” namely the practices leading and encouraging “abortion, homosexual lifestyles and alternative families comprised of same sex partners and their adopted children.”

Prevost’s speech came at the peak of Obama’s popularity and just after Obama’s “great initiative to convince Africans of the benefits of gay-lifestyles” in 2011.

If this is Father Prevost’s view, it can be argued that he is a conservative. The great issue of the day here is whether the church will decide what is moral, according to the Bible or whether secularists like Obama and the globalists will redefine morality, tell the world that a boy can become a girl, and that two same sex humans can marry and rear a family.

Prevost, now Pope Leo’s position is very clear on that. Yet the Trump administration sees him as an enemy.

Steve Bannon, Trump’s strategist, apparently considersLeo to be the worst possible enemy they have right now.

Bannon says the papal election was rigged. He says Trump’s administration has placed some restrictions on externalisation of US money to Rome. Since the US Catholic churches are the richest compared to other global sister churches this poses a restraint on Catholic global finances.

The real fear comes from the fact that Leo, though born in Chicago, comes from Peru, and like Pope Francis before him, has been a witness to US intelligence activities against native patriotic governments.

The US CIO (intelligence services) hold Latin American governments at ransom. They must comply with US capital interests or are overthrown; Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Venezuela; all these have suffered from US interference.

Catholic priests are credited with the creation of liberation theology, first pioneered by Bishop Oscar Romero. While celebrating mass, Romero was murdered by a lone Salvadorian gun-man associated with US intelligence in 1980.

Here is why these Latin American bishops pose such a threat to US hegemony. Romero, like Pope Francis and now Pope Leo see themselves as witnesses to the murderous interference associated with US hegemony in Latin America.

Romero’s mission as indeed was that of Francis andLeo is summarised in the idiom that: “The ones who have a voice must speak for those who are voiceless.”

Pope Francis said that the problem with the idea that when wealth fills a cup, the wealth will overflow to the poor is that the cup grows bigger, the rich buy yachts, bigger cars and bigger houses while the poor wait for the overflow which never comes.

It is my sense that the new generation of Holy Fathers in the Vatican has a very clear vision of what God wants them to do; to show mercy, to walk humbly and to speak for the voiceless.

The Trump administration has not yet figured out a proper response to these very “bad Holy Fathers.”
