Letter to my people: The Sabhuku show was an anti-climax

The contradictions in this so-called second repubric are baffling as they are embarrassing.

My Dear People

The dishing out of more than 100 state of the art vehicles to the military by the Ngwena regime has for the umpteenth time exposed the warped priorities by this dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion.

At a time the regime has announced a raft of austerity measures to reduce spending, which include suspending workshops and foreign trips, banning vehicle hire and freezing of recruitments, it has splurged millions of dollars for vehicles for the military.

The contradictions in this so-called second repubric are baffling as they are embarrassing.

Under the regime of the Scarfed One, double standards have become the norm.

It is a damning indictment that when wheelbarrows are being used as makeshift ambulances and drink cans are being used  as scalpels in some health institutions, the Ngwena cabal are focused on pampering the military with vehicles.

Even if it is for purposes of coup-proofing, as widely speculated, it is shameful that the Ngwena regime has rushed to splash out vehicles for the military like confetti at a wedding, while dragging its feet in acquiring crucial cancer machinery.

In a clear show of the lack of seriousness by this regime, we had a whole vice -president cutting a ribbon for 10 chemotherapy chairs at Mpilo Hospital that had been donated by Cancer Serve, which the state-controlled rags hilariously called “state of the art”.

What a circus this regime has become!!!. It is unbelievable that the wisdom of the telescopically foresighted Gushungo has been replaced by this dross.

Munopengaaa!!

The show undoubtedly belonged to the Sabhuku from Shurugwi the previous week after he pitched himself as an anti-corruption crusader, only for his reputation to be crushed into smithereens within hours.

After a string of posts and interviews on YouTube claiming to be exposing the Generari, an audio recording of him explaining his motivation surfaced. He is doing it for his stomach and his children!

Some of us who know Temba very well were not surprised. That’s how he earns his keep kikikikiki

Munopengaaaaaaaa

That the justice system in this country is now a joke is not a secret.

However, it does raise a few eyebrows when the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC), which is wholly set up and appointed by the Ngwena regime, comes out to call the justice system in the country rotten.

ZHRC chairperson Jessie Majome pointed out during a consultative workshop organised by the Zimbabwe  Anti-Corruption  Commission and a consultant that the justice system has gone to the dogs.

“The justice system is rotten,” she said. “Justice itself — the whole system — from the legal practitioners in the criminal justice system; the police and prosecutors, magistrates and judges, sometimes in the civil arena as well.

‘I mean, everything in terms of access to justice is for sale.”

One can hardly argue with Majome given some of the atrocious contradictions in judgements from the courts.

Zimdancehall artist Ras Pompy was sentenced   to six months behind bars  for drug possession but Chinese nationals who were caught with quantities of cocaine were slapped with a paltry fine of US$150 which is less than the  hard currency salary component of a civils servant and is surely taking the mantra that the Chinese are our all-weather friends a tad too far.

This highlights the preposterous disparities in the country’s justice system.

Indeed one is inclined to agree with Majome when a journalist can be incarcerated for interviewing a regime critic for more than 70 days without trial but someone who is convicted of gold smuggling gets away with just paying a fine.

It just goes to show that since the scarfed one was propelled into power on the back of guns and tanks, the country’s justice system has become a byword for incompetence.

Munopengaaa!!!

The desperation by the regime to paint a positive image of the scarfed one has reached ridiculous levels over the past week.

We had the absurd article in one state rag about social amenities booming under Ngwena.

This is a ludicrous article when most homes have no running water areas with raw sewage   flooding homes.

It is silly to claim amenities have boomed when we do not even have a stadium that meets the Confederation of African Football and Fifa benchmarks which has resulted in the country’s national team playing at ‘home’ to South Africa in a  World Cup  qualifier in South Africa.

One needs only go to Mbare to expose the claim that social amenities have boomed under Ngwena for the hogwash that it is.

Despite the promise by Generari that they will put in place swimming pools at Matapi Flats in Mbare, residents in the  area continue to waddle in sewage  in an area infested by pollution, which is a major health hazard.

In trying to prop up the scarfed one, some of these propaganda pieces only add more ridicule to the octogenarian, Please Stop It!!!

Munopengaaa!!!

MDC leader Douglas Mwonzora was in the United Kingdom to attend the annual conference of the governing Labour Party.

The failed politician claimed that they were there as part of the process of “building synergies and learning from progressive parties”.

This would be well and good if his party had even a single parliamentary or council seat and not in the current situation where they have no representative anywhere within the 210 constituencies of the country.

It is pitiful to see how Mwonzora, who has been thrown to the political scrapheap by the country’s citizens, is labouring (no pun intended) to remain relevant.
