FOR some time now, I have advanced a theory to the effect that before social media, (2015) perverts and madmen who govern us got away with misdeeds and stupidities.
Limited media outlets were easily intimidated to reproduce government propaganda or shut up.
United States President Donald Trump’s kidnapping of Venezuelan president Nicholas Maduro (January4) following the murder of 114 boatmen off the coast are being adumbrated on social media and exposed for what they are, piracy and murder.
US secretary of state, Marco Rubio’s interview by news ABC anchor George Spehanopaulos revealed Rubio to be a moron. In less than 24 hours over a million YuTubers had rebroadcast the damaging interview.
Rubio was asked a simple question.
“President Trump was pretty clear yesterday. He said the United States was going to run Venezuela. Under what legal authority?” George asked.
Answer: “Under -- well, first of all, what’s going to happen here is that we have a quarantine on their oil. That means their economy will not be able to move forward until the conditions that are in the national interest of the United States and the interest of the Venezuelan people are met. And that’s what we intend to do.”
Marco does not answer the question. There is worse to come.

“We’ll set the conditions so that we no longer have, in our hemisphere, Venezuela, that’s the crossroads for many of our adversaries around the world, including Iran and Hezbollah, is no longer sending us drug gangs, is no longer sending us drug boats, is no longer a narco-trafficking paradise for all those drugs coming out of Colombia to go in through the Caribbean and towards the United States.”
Having failed to answer the question, Marco makes nonsensical accusations against Venezuela.
He mentions Hezbollah, a resistance organization against Israeli occupation based in Lebanon. He mentions Colombia, a neighboring country to Venezuela, confessing in his own breath that drugs from that country go through the Caribbean. The two issues have nothing to do with Venezuela.
Iran is mentioned in passing. What in hell has Iran to do with Venezuela?
Yes Sir, I have looked at the indictment. Please do not laugh. Maduro is accused (in a US Court) “of possessing machine guns and destructive weapons” in his own country.
Attempts by George to “repeat the question” are met with the same word puzzles and labyrinths that signify nothing.
Israeli connection.
Israeli Prime Minister Benajamin Netanyahu spent the new year eve with Trump. Netanyahu said these words in a press conference.
“They are exporting terrorism to Venezuela.”
By this time Marco is now a certified moron. “We are hopeful that there are people in place now --- (US puppets) -- that will start making some of these changes…(but) our -- my number one objective is America. But our number one objective here is America.” Rubio.
It never occurred to Marco that Venezuelans have priorities, which place Venezuelan oil and minerals in the hands of Venezuelans.
This emphasis on Hezbollah (Palestinian resistance) connects US attack on Venezuela to Israel. The talk about cocaine, fentanyl and drugs is made up.
Fourteen boats have been blown up, 114 people murdered in high seas, no evidence of drugs has been found on those boats.
We now know why the Venezuelan army was unable to fight back. US troops turned off the lights in Caraccas, leaving 1.6 million people in the dark during the US kidnap operation.
In addition, eight presidential guards were on US payroll.
The attack on Venezuela started in 1999 when Hugo Chavez won the election on behalf of the Venezuelan Patriotic Front.
Chavez provided free education, free health services, and renegotiated foreign oil company leases, based on nationalisation treaties of 1976.
Chavez provoked US anger by forbidding gay marriages, abortion on demand, trans-gender surgeries and high usurious bank interest rates.
The last issue is said to have provoked New York bankers and globalists. Before his death, (2013) Chavez claimed that he had been poisoned.
Professor John Mearsheimer has argued that Trump’s vision of the world is divorced from reality, a state of mind called “delusional.”
Trump stated this about Venezuelans. “They took our oil. They took our land. We want our oil and land back.”
The oil and land Trump is talking about is in Venezuela-and Venezuelans have no say in how that land shall be utilized. On the eve of invasion, Trump cut off a conversation with president Maduro. Trump wanted “his oil and land” back.
Further, to add to his delusional state of mind, Trump appointed himself, Secretary Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as governors of Venezuela.
Please do not laugh.
The delusion comes from a lack of consciousness that there are other actors in the universe. The Venezuelan parliament appointed vice-president Delcy Rodriguez to fill the vacant position left by Maduro.
Rodriguez’s father was tortured and died in prison at the hands of a pro-American right-wing group in 1976.
In her first statement, Rodriguez challenged US assertion that the new leaders would do Washington’s bidding.
“The Venezuelan people will no longer be slaves or the colony of an empire,” Rodriguez told parliament.
The delusion exemplified by Trump and associates emanates from the belief that they are the only players in the universe and that their wishes become reality.
As we go to press, they are now faced with daunting tusk of invading Venezuela and taking the oil. The US has been through this asymmetric process before; a technologically inferior state refuses to bow down before the mighty US.
The US was in Vietnam for a quarter of a century-they left with their tails in between their legs. They have been in Iraq now since 2003.
