Letter to my people: Breaking news: Malaba’s retirement party

Luke Malaba, who has gone beyond the call of duty to keep the Lacoste gang in power since the coup, is finally retiring.

My Dear People

THIS past week there was some positive news out of Zimbabwe’s corridors of power for once.

Luke Malaba, who has gone beyond the call of duty to keep the Lacoste gang in power since the coup, is finally retiring.

Malaba has been overseeing the mutilation of the constitution by the Zanu PF mandarins and his last act in that office probably would be to ensure that Ngwena’s term is extended beyond 2028.

According to the constitutional amendments that were introduced by the Lacoste government to keep  him in office in 2021, the controversial jurist must retire when he reaches the age of 75 on May 15.

Zimbabweans are rejoicing as  Malaba, the master of constitutional acrobatics, is finally hanging up his judge's hat .

But don't worry, Ngwena's got a plan to keep him around — maybe he'll just 'extend' his term again. kkikikiki

It must be difficult being Temba. After several months of rambling on X about Generari, the father of many children still has not received a single response from the target.

Temba, who is clearly doing the bidding of some zvigananda, who fear that Generari will put them at Chikurubi and throw away the keys, has taken to publicly calling for his brother to dismiss his deputy from his position.

He claims that the VP is disloyal and wants to remove Ngwena from power.

Temba, who sometimes styles himself as an independent politician is even sounding more Zanu PF than the ruining party’s founders in his crusade against the Generari.

He claims to be fighting corruption yet it is clear that in his campaign he is doing the bidding of some people who cannot explain the source of their wealth.

He has become Weaknail’s biggest defender, but still wants us to believe that he is an anti-corruption crusader.

Poor Temba, doing the bidding of his zvigananda overlords . Who's funding his anti-corruption crusade, anyway?

The Horrid kicked the year with yet another fictional story disguised as news. It claimed that the government has adopted measures to reduce unnecessary and non-essential expenditure.

Luxury vehicles and frequent foreign travel were identified as major cost drivers that placed an unsustainable burden on the fiscus.

It went on to claim that “during NDS 2, government will adopt measures to reduce unnecessary and wasteful public expenditure through significantly curtailing spending on no-essential items such as procurement of luxury vehicles and excessive foreign travel by government officials.”

I doubt that the document, if it really exists, was approved by the one who loves donating cars.

What would be that campaign to stay in power be without luxury cars? I forsee the editor, who approved that story being at the very least be summoned by some shellacking by Dr Amai 2 very soon.

Luxury cars and foreign travel are the real enemies of the people, folks. Who needs facts when you have propaganda?

I loved how that young American YouTube sensation iShowSpeed reacted when he saw Scott’s children at a night club.

IShowSpeed, who was in Harare as part of the Zimbabwean leg of his African tour, expressed visible anger after encountering the under age children at the Harare joint.

The shocked streamer questioned why minors were present in an adult-only space.

Those children were probably taken there by someone from Scott’s family who now believes that their proximity to power makes them to be above the law.

After the video showing IShowSpeed’s reaction went viral, the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare was forced to say something.

On X the ministry said “kudos to IShowSpeed for understanding child protection and safeguarding. No child should be allowed into a ‘no under 18 club or space.

“Together we can protect and safeguard our children.”

Whoever posted that is very courageous because we know that Scott is one of those who believe they are untouchable.

Where's the outrage, Zimbabwe?

Then we had the nurse who is supposed to be the government’s chief spokesperson celebrating the commissioning of a footbridge in Mutasa by a whole minister.

Nick shared a post on X saying Manicaland Provincial Affairs minister Misheck Mugadza had commissioned the bridge worth US$70 000.

He said the construction of the bridge was aligned with the minister’s vision that Manicaland was “on a good development trajectory with multiple projects aimed at improving service delivery.

That is how the bar has been set low by the ruining party.

Fortunately Fadzayi Mahere who doesn’t pull any punches on X provided the perfect response to the nonsense.

She said; “What’s “premier” about this toy bridge? Why not build solid, permanent infrastructure?

“How do you think this useless waste of money compares to Birchenough Bridge or Victoria Falls Bridge? Why is the Govt obsessed with low standards and why do they expect their mediocrity to be celebrated?”

Zimbabweans, it's time to wake up!
