The competition to succeed Sakhile Dube as Miss Universe Zimbabwe is heating up as the coronation approaches.
Ten finalists are in the running for the title. The contestants are Onesimo Nkomo, Samantha Munenga, Hazel Kurwa Kumire, Charlotte Muziri, Chiedza Mhosva, Lyshanda Moyas, Talic Magaiza, Samkele Dhlamini, and Annie Grace Mutambu.
Nakita De Baros, the Miss Universe Zimbabwe projects manager, stated that preparations are almost complete.
“The bootcamp is divided into two parts. On Saturday, we travelled to a secluded location outside Harare, sponsored by one of our long-term corporate partners,” she said.
“This provides a focused environment for training and grooming the contestants away from the city distractions, allowing them to connect with themselves.
“The official sashing ceremony will take place at this location on Sunday afternoon.
“We will return to Harare on Tuesday for the final preparations and activities leading up to the finale on the 17th. Additionally, we will host a pre-show on the 16th.”
The highly anticipated grand finale will be held at the Hippodrome in Harare, with a large and diverse audience expected.
