Bulawayo-based singer Deevox, recently featured on the popular Museve riddim, is connecting directly with his fans through a series of launch shows in various Bulawayo suburbs.
The track, titled These Days Uyenzani, was produced by JMP and appears on the Museve riddim alongside prominent artists like Poptain, Michael Maggz, Ten Steppa, Guspy Warrior, Mandy Ahwe, and Maggikal.
Deevox has already brought his new song to his home ground, performing at Ko Mpofu shopping centre in Luveve and in Lobengula.
Last week on Saturday saw him take the stage at Mudamburi shopping centre in New Luveve.
Explaining his strategy, Deevox stated, "I am going back to the basics where a hit first resonated within the streets and with everyday people. I want to personally connect and put a face to my music.
"Many have been listening to the song without knowing who sings it. My aim is to build a stronger connection with listeners and expand my fanbase beyond the internet."
Speaking about the song's message, Deevox described These Days Uyenzani as "a street and hustlers anthem."
He elaborated: “These Days Uyenzani is a track that speaks to the daily reality of the streets and the hustlers working hard there. It's a question posed to everyone embarking on a new hustle each day. In Zimbabwe's challenging economic climate, one must have a hustle to survive, even those with formal employment often need a side income to make ends meet.”

Deevox expressed his appreciation for producer JMP, acknowledging the significance of being featured on the Museve riddim.
“This marked my first collaboration with Harare-based artists, and what a fantastic way to do it than by working with a legendary producer like JMP. Sharing the studio with talents like Noble Stylz and Michael Maggz was incredibly motivating. Michael Maggz was particularly welcoming, especially considering it was our first meeting. He even helped refine my lyrics and contributed some lines to the song,” Deevox added.
Deevox, born Donald Mwanyama has a history of collaboration, having worked with the late rapper Cal_ Vin on the track If I Was and featuring him on his own song Handidi.
JMP is a highly respected producer in the Zimbabwean music scene, known for his work with top artists such as Winky D, Enzo Ishal, and Stunner, and for creating numerous chart-topping riddims in the dancehall genre.
