Madam Boss unleashes on Mai TT

Madam Boss

The long-standing rivalry between Zimbabwean comedians Madam Boss and Mai TT has erupted once again, with Madam Boss vehemently claiming her counterpart is “obsessed” with her.

The feud, which has simmered for years, recently escalated when Mai TT subtly jabbed at Madam Boss, nicknaming her “Beyonce wekutemu” — a Shona phrase roughly translating to “cheaper version of Beyonce”.

This barb came after Madam Boss underwent cosmetic work to achieve a look inspired by the American pop star.

In a no-holds-barred interview with Standard Style, an irate Madam Boss didn’t mince her words, suggesting Mai TT needs professional help.

“From way back, from when we started, she has always wanted to be me and has always hated me,” Madam Boss declared.

“This woman needs to go to rehab and get help. She has been to jail, so she has a lot of trauma because jail is no easy feat.

“I know that some people go to jail for the things that they have never really done, but with her, it was out in the open for all to see.

“She is a fraudster, an international and a local one, and I have no business with such people.”

Madam Boss was quick to dismiss Mai TT as any real threat.

“You should write that, do not filter that I said she is nothing next to me,” she said.

“Those fans that we are supposedly fighting for may be the same, but I am bigger than her.

“I have got my own supporters, and that makes her jealous.

“She needs to focus on her son and try some business as well. When we first started and I had hoped we would work well together, I created room for her. She knows where my house is built.

“She was there. I am bigger than her; it's just that I don’t like to be flashy like her.”

Explaining her usual silence on Mai TT’s provocations, Madam Boss cited her brand and family.

“I have reasons why I usually ignore her whenever she attacks me because I do not want to ruin my brand and the brands I work with,” she said.

“I am a married woman with in-laws that I respect. So I usually make a joke of her attacks because I do not want to spend too much time on that.

“I don’t even know what she wants or the crime I committed. It’s just that I cannot physically fight, and you can tell that she is used to fights.

“If she comes for a fistfight, she would probably beat me, but then maybe she should do that so that she can go back to jail.”

However, Mai TT offered a contrasting view, suggesting Madam Boss relies on their rivalry for relevance.

“I gave her those lyrics; she wrote the song thanks to me,” Mai TT countered.

“Everything she does is thanks to me because I keep her relevant.

“If I cough, she has got content, otherwise I do not have much to say about a person that I made.”

Ironically, Madam Boss had initially refused to comment on the ongoing drama, stating she couldn’t say much about someone she considered “beneath her”.and who “constantly feeds off her.”
