‘Jah Prayzah not welcome in USA’

Jah Prayzah was set to perform in Washington DC last Friday and in Dallas Texas yesterday as part of his Ndini Mukudzei world tour.

Zimbabwean-born UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo publicly celebrated Jah Prayzah’s visa woes.

Gorimbo took to Facebook, subtly suggesting that the musician’s close ties to Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu PF party might have contributed to the denial.

In a surprising declaration, Gorimbo stated that he would have attempted to sabotage Jah Prayzah’s shows if the visa had been granted.

Jah Prayzah was set to perform in Washington DC last Friday and in Dallas Texas yesterday as part of his Ndini Mukudzei world tour.

The singer announced that he had been forced to cancel the US leg of the tour due to visa issues.

Gorimbo publicly declared on Facebook that Jah Prayzah’s visa denial was a “sign” that he is unwelcome in the United States.

Gorimbo went further, stating that if Jah Prayzah’s US trip had been successful, he would have actively worked to sabotage his shows.

“I like some of his [Jah Prayzah’s music] but he's off the mark,” Gorimbo said in a video.

“We were waiting for him to come to the USA to call ICE so that his shows are sabotaged. If his visa had been granted, I was going to do so and sabotage him.”

Jah Prayzah dismissed claims that his visa was refused due to political ties or social media scrutiny,

“We attended our visa appointments earlier this month, but due to a technical issue on our application forms, we couldn’t proceed,” he explained.

“That meant restarting the process and trying to get new appointment dates — and unfortunately, none were available in time.”

Despite Jah Prayzah’s explanation, skepticism persists on social media.

Many are questioning the official reason, pointing to his well-documented friendship with Wicknell Chivayo, a controversial Zimbabwean businessman.
