Mudiwa Jani’s father breaks silence

Mudiwa, who is based in the United Kingdom, shot into the spotlight when he unexpectedly joined American streamer IShowSpeed during the latter’s tour of Zimbabwe as part of his broader African tour.

The father of Zimbabwean streamer and content creator Mudiwa Jani, popularly known as Superstar Jani, businessman John Fadzisayi Jani, has spoken for the first time, saying he will not interfere with his son’s passion and has pledged his full support.

Mudiwa, who is based in the United Kingdom, shot into the spotlight when he unexpectedly joined American streamer IShowSpeed during the latter’s tour of Zimbabwe as part of his broader African tour.

He later appeared alongside IShowSpeed again in Ethiopia, where he once more impressed viewers with his vibrant personality and cultural representation.

In both Zimbabwe and Ethiopia, Mudiwa’s presence generated significant buzz across social media platforms.

While some commentators have called for him to be appointed a Zimbabwean tourism ambassador, others believe he should focus on building his own brand independently rather than riding on IShowSpeed’s popularity.

His growing influence has also caught the attention of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, which extended an invitation to him.

Speaking to Standard Style, Mudiwa hinted at major developments ahead.

“Just watch this space, big dhara,” he said confidently.

The young content creator has since amassed a substantial following across multiple social media platforms.

His father, John Jani, expressed pride in his son’s achievements.

“There is nothing I can do — it is his passion, and he has been doing all this in the UK,” Jani senior said.

“He is all over social media, television and newspapers, and that is what he wants. He told me he wants to make money out of it, and that is good for him. I will support him as his father.”

The businessman added that he would only be concerned if his son strayed from an honest path.

“When we were growing up, we thought you could only make money by having shops or farming. But nowadays there are many avenues to make money, as long as they are honest means,” Jani senior said.
