In a market where many still travel abroad for medical-guided aesthetic treatments, Farai Beaular Munemo, founder and CEO of Zarrow Aesthetics & IV Bar, is proving that world-class care can be built locally through structure, ethics and disciplined execution.
Since launching the business in June 2022, Munemo has steadily transformed her vision into a multi-service, health-aligned brand that blends minimally invasive beauty treatments with medically grounded care under the Lumina brand, a subsidiary of Zarrow Aesthetics.
“What I wanted from the beginning was simple — beauty should be accessible, safe and delivered with medical integrity,” she said.
“We have achieved that within a reasonable time and continue to scale through innovation and strategic partnerships.”
What distinguishes Munemo’s journey is not just the concept, but the method behind its growth. Her approach reflects strong project management principles — building systems, defining workflows and ensuring quality at every stage.
“We don’t just market services; we manage the client journey. Every appointment is treated as a process, not a guess. That’s how we protect both the client and the brand,” she said.
A key milestone in the business’s evolution has been its shift into medical aesthetics — a transition that required the integration of clinical governance, ethical standards and patient-centred protocols.
“Some people think innovation is adding more treatments. For us, it’s ensuring consultation, assessment, diagnostics and aftercare all function as one system,” she said.

Clients are guided through a structured process that may include diagnostic steps such as blood sampling where necessary, helping to improve treatment accuracy while strengthening trust.
“When clients understand each step, they feel safe. Safety then becomes a standard, not just a promise,” she said.
As the enterprise has grown, Zarrow Aesthetics & IV Bar has expanded its offerings to include laser and skin rejuvenation treatments, IV therapy, wellness services and advanced solutions for managing cosmetic-related conditions, with referrals and collaboration where surgical intervention is required.
However, expansion is guided by strict criteria.
“For every new service, we assess the risks, the required expertise and how to maintain consistent quality. If we cannot operationalise safety, we won't expand,” Munemo said.
Scaling beyond Harare
After establishing a base in Harare, the business expanded into Kwekwe, with plans to grow across the Midlands and beyond. This expansion is not just geographic, but systemic — replicating the same standards, training, equipment readiness and service delivery model across locations.
“When we open a new branch, we are replicating a system, not starting from scratch. Everything must align — training, equipment and how we treat clients,” she said.
Recognising gaps in local training, Munemo has invested heavily in her own professional development, obtaining more than 15 certifications from institutions in South Africa and Namibia.
“Certificates are not for decoration. They enable better decisions, stronger safety and improved results. Continuous learning is essential,” she said.
This commitment extends to her team, where she has created structured employment and mentorship opportunities for beauty therapists and medical support staff, particularly women and young professionals.
“I want people to see that they can build careers here. Mentorship is part of medicine because people need guidance, not just jobs,” she said.
Munemo’s work represents more than business growth — it reflects a shift toward building local expertise in a field often reliant on external services.
Through Zarrow Aesthetics & IV Bar, she is creating a model where quality care is accessible, systems-driven and rooted in medical integrity.
“We are building more than a business,” she said. “We are building confidence — one medically grounded step at a time.”
