SINGER Amy Winehouse has denied attacking a woman after a charity ball in central London.

Winehouse (25) is accused of assaulting the woman in Berkeley Square, Westminster, in the UK, on September 25.

The singer appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court accompanied by her father Mitch. Accused of a charge of common assault against Sherene Flash, she pleaded not guilty. The case was adjourned until July 23 at the same court. Her lawyer, Mark Haslam, apologised to District Judge Timothy Workman for her lateness, saying she had been delayed on the way to court. Winehouse sang at the End of Summer Ball, a £700-a-ticket fundraising event in aid of the Prince’s Trust charity. The singer recently moved from Camden, north London, to Hadley Wood in Enfield, also north London. – BBCOnline.
