USHER’s wife was bewildered when she discovered the R&B superstar wanted a divorce —— because the couple was “blissfully happy” just days before he filed seperation papers.
The Yeah! Hitmaker (30) filed for divorce in his native Atlanta, Georgia last month, revealing he had been living apart from wife Tameka Foster since last July.
The documents stated there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation”.
But in new papers filed by Foster on Monday, the stylist’s attorney claims she had “every reason to believe her marriage was intact”.
The documents allege the pair was “intimately together” less than a week before Usher started divorce proceedings, according to E! Online.
Foster wants all of her legal fees in relation to the divorce covered, as well as financial support towards the couple’s two children, Usher Raymond V, 19 months, and Naviyd, six months.
Usher is seeking joint custody of his two sons.
The couple married in August 2007 in a lavish ceremony. About 200 people attended their wedding at a resort built in the style of a 16th-century-style French chateau on 3 500 hilly acres outside Atlanta.
