FRANCHISES in Zimbabwe Cricket’s new domestic structure will next week unveil official sponsors at a players’ awards ceremony in Bulawayo.
The five franchises, assigned to run professional cricket at the first-class level, have been locked in negotiations with leading corporates since their formation.

IndependentSport can reveal the identity of the sponsors lined up.
Mashonaland, the biggest franchise headquartered in Harare, are set to be bankrolled by agro-processing company Colcom Holdings Limited.
Matabeleland have almost agreed terms with Metropolitan Bank. Media reports this week said Matabeleland were talking to former Zimbabwe coach Robin Brown, who has previously coached the province.
Masvingo will land insurance company Nicoz Diamond.
Steelmakers will sponsor the Midlands, with Manicaland luring Sakunda Energy Petroleum.
