RAPPER MC Hammer is facing a new set of financial woes —— the star allegedly owes more than US$600 000 in unpaid taxes.
The star, real name Stanley Burrell, famously declared himself bankrupt in 1996 after squandering his multi-million-dollar fortune on his lavish lifestyle.

US government officials have filed three separate liens against him this year that add up to US$671 182.
The three demands include a lien from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed in May against Burrell and his wife Stephanie for US$32 926Â and a June request from the state of California seeking US$12 464 from the star. The final lien, filed in July, shows that he and his partner also owe a staggering US$625 792 to the IRS. Burrell is the latest celebrity to be named and shamed as indebted to the already financially struggling state —— Snoop Dogg and Janice Dickinson are also reportedly being chased for unpaid bills. —— Contactmusic.
