Sanctions must stay

I AM glad that the European airspace was closed this week because of the volcanic-ash cloud hovering over Europe and moving eastwards from Iceland.

This is because the government delegation which was supposed to meet European Union (EU) officials in Brussels to plead for the removal of sanctions was not able to travel to Brussels. In any case why waste money by sending a delegation when there is an EU representative in Harare who could be taken around the country and speak to ordinary folk and make his own assessment? I hope these so-called sanctions are not lifted until after free and fair elections.
