Muzari wins Arts Reporter award

BY OUR STAFF ALPHA Media Holdings' Group Life&Style editor, Godwin Muzari, scooped the Outstanding Arts Reporter (Print Media) award at the recently held National Arts Merit Awards (Nama).

 

Muzari was honoured for his stories published in The Standard last year and walked away with a trophy and a certificate.

He cruised ahead of other nominees in the category, Jonathan Mbiriyamveka of The Herald and Kenneth Matimaire, a freelance journalist.

 

It was Muzari’s second accolade for 2010 after being voted the Best Arts and Entertainment Reporter at the National Journalistic and Media Awards late last year.

Other awards in the media category went to Leonard Mabvara of ZBC who won the Outstanding Arts Reporter (Television) and Joseph Mandizvidza from The Voice of Zimbabwe who took the same award for radio.

More that 30 awards were given to outstanding individuals and products in the categories of literary arts, dance, theatre, music, visual arts, film, television and media.
