FC Platinum stretched their lead at the summit of the premiership after beating Masvingo United 3-0 at Mandava. The platinum miners are now sitting on 33 points from 16 outings

The miners scored through Bheki Ncube, Benjamin Marere and Mthulisi Maphosa.  DeMbare had a bad day at Luveve after picking a point against Chicken Inn after being held to a goalless draw. The Glamour Boys’ took their points tally 26 from 16 outings.

The match between Dembare and Chicken Inn was ill-tempered,  forcing referee Thabani Bamala to  red-card Chicken Inn captain Sikhumbuzo Banda in the 22nd and Dynamos’s Denver Mukamba in the 45th minute.

At White City Sukholuhle Mthethwa reports that Zimbabwe Saints settled for a one-all draw against Hwange. Saints came back from behind to score through newboy Evans Rusike three minutes to death. Hwange had scored first through Gilbert Zulu in the 24th minute. Saints fielded mostly new players including Dumisani Ndlovu, Tongai Munyaradzi, Kelvin Sibanda and Rusike.

There was drama on the stroke of half-time when Musharu got his marching orders from referee Nkanyiso Moyo after headbutting Obey Mwerahari in an off-the-ball incident. Police  had to intervene to whisk Musharu away as he threatened to assault Moyo and even the police details had a rough time containing the livid midfielder.

Tineyi Chitora scored a brace for Blue Ribbon and Caleb Masocha also scored a brace for Shabanie Mine.

Chitora opened the scoring for the millers in the 20th minute after he converted from the penalty spot. Referee Jacob Kuuya awarded a penalty to Blue Ribbon after Elasto Bakacheza handled in the penalty box.  Chitora scored yet again in the 24th minute. Daniel Kamunhenga notched in the third goal for the millers in the 65th minuite. Mario Mabacho equalised for Shabanie Mine in the 82nd minute.

Visiting Shooting Stars crushed Black Mambas 3-1 at Morris Depot  reports Simba Sithole.

Muchineripi Muneri scored for Shooting Stars with 11 minutes on the clock but Kasimero Chimbadzwa equalised for the home side in the 22th minute.However, Mambas were to fall behind in the five minutes later when Kevin Mawire fired home from close range after penetrating the Mambas defence.Yasser Chapfika compounded Mambas woes after scrambling in a Marlven Chipunza corner kick five minutes from half-time.

The ball went into the match after six attempts by corner kick specialist Chipunza.

The second half saw Shooting Stars employing defensive play that frustrated Mambas players.
