Nigerian outfit, P-Square, is scheduled to perform in Harare on August 31.The tour was confirmed by the agents who have been engaged by May 7 Entertainment to bring the artists for a performance at the Harare International Conference Centre. The performance comes at a time when the group is riding high on their song, Beautiful Onyinye, a collaboration with American R ‘n’ B singer Rick Ross. YNF media, their agents confirmed the trip saying the group would come to Zimbabwe straight after their United Kingdom tour scheduled for August 26. “P-Square will perform in Harare after their UK tour when they perform at HMV Apollo Hammersmith in London,” said a source at the company. Max Mugaba, director of May 7 Entertainment, confirmed the tour but refused to give details. “I cannot talk to you about that at the moment. Plans are underway but I am barred by certain contractual obligations,” said Mugaba. P-Square are a Nigerian R ‘n’ B duo composed of identical twins Peter and Paul Okoye. The brothers have produced various hits over the years and have been touted as one of the most expensive outfits in Africa. Meanwhile, South African songstress Bulelwa Mkutukana aka Zahara is expected in Harare on Thursday for shows at The Fusion in Harare on Friday and Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Saturday. Tawanda Chingara, spokesperson for the organisers said preparations had gone a gear-up. “We are on the home stretch now and we will start selling tickets on Monday (tomorrow) at HICC, Homegate, Alcatraz and Angwa City,” said Chingara. “All the ground work has been done and we are happy that the tour will have a different approach in various ways like Zahara mingling with other artists and her making an early entrance to watch other artists perform.” He said they had also made provisions for the VIP section to be guarded properly so that it would be safe for families.
