AFTER three months of refurbishments and great anticipation from fast food lovers in the Belgravia area of Harare, the new and improved Innscor Fast Food court certainly caused a commotion on Friday August 31.

Doors opened at 9am to welcome expectant customers to the new look food court.

The first lucky customers to enjoy lunch at the Belgravia food court were treated to a free snack box at Chicken Inn, medium pizza at Pizza Inn and a free cone at Creamy Inn plus some great branded goodies won in a lucky draw at each counter.

Kids were more than happy to spend the day with the clown playing fun games by the jumping castle, while parents went about their shopping over the weekend.

The refurbishment is part of Innscor’s drive to align its quick service restaurants to world-class standards. Several food courts have already undergone extensive revamps and expansions to meet the high demand for convenience, great food on-the-go and professional service. This includes Speke Avenue food court, which is where it all began back in 1987.The first Chicken Inn store opened its doors at corner Speke Avenue and Inez Terrace, Harare (today known as Fantasy Land).

Twenty five years on, Chicken Inn is still the most popular fried chicken brand in Zimbabwe, serving more than 30 000 Zimbabweans every day from 40 counters across the country. Innscor operates over 120 counters across five brands including Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn and Baker’s Inn.

The recent new-look portfolio includes the revamped Speke, Construction House, First Street, Pomona, Gweru, Mutare –Thembwe, and Chinhoyi. While the brand new additions to this world-class stable include Kwekwe, Marondera, Victoria Falls, Mutare-Uptown, Jameson Suite Corner, and coming soon  — Fife Avenue in Harare and Zvishavane.

Famous for its tasty fried chicken pieces bundled to your preference, Chicken Inn is the flagship brand catering to consumers seeking value. Most recently Chicken Inn announced the new great price of just US$3,50 for Zim’s favourite — The two piecer and chips. “Chabvondoka!!!” seemed the most appropriate way to announce the unexpected surprise. Many happy consumers have commended Chicken Inn for the great value offering at a time when disposable income is not readily available.

Creamy Inn has also raised the bar with its brand new menu that demonstrates variety and great value to give everyone a chance to “Enjoy Life” as the pay off line suggests. The fun and colourful brand has introduced new flavours and toppings including Barone sauce, Caramel sauce, Oreos, Maraschino cherries, Peppermint Crisp, Smarties, all at very affordable prices. The new Belgravia Food court houses all brands including Creamy Inn where customers can sample these new products for free over this weekend.

Celebrities that have been known to grace the new outlet include radio presenter TK and Tin-Tin (also known as “Joyce” from Studio 263) now presenting at ZiFM stereo, as well as Baba Shupi who absolutely loved the new look and great seating space.
