The dividends we have received have been remarkable, surpassing all our expectations.

These benefits among others include: Reliable quality products, whereby the consumer is guaranteed superior quality and freshness.

Organisation integrity, principles and values, whereby management and staff believe in the process.

Organisation history, tradition and track record, helping us build on our already well-known, trusted and respected brand. Customer service and satisfaction, whereby the consumer ultimately has the final say.

Our prime focus was production and we continued to deliver consistent value through a number of innovative strategies.

Part of our group strategy was to focus on efficiencies within our control, to pass on the benefit to the consumer, without compromising on quality.

The ISO certification has aided us in achieving this goal and will continue to track our progress for many years to come. We have not stopped with just the ISO 22000 certification, but have in addition, extensively upgraded our lines and equipment in our processing, to continue to improve efficiencies for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.

In the increasingly competitive global marketplace, we have had to fight for our share and title as leaders in the poultry industry in Zimbabwe. We have had to battle it out against cheap inferior quality imports, but our brand has stood strong as consumers continue to enjoy the highest standard and quality that they have been accustomed to over the past five decades.

As a result of the success we achieved from the ISO 22 000 certification of our chicken processing facility, we decided to extend this to our egg grading facilities.

We undertook to streamline our egg grading facility, in line with what we had learnt, and applied for certification in mid 2012. We were audited by a South African ISO 22000 accredited team are proud to announce that we achieved ISO 22000 certification within a month of the audit. Our entire chicken and egg processing facilities are now ISO 22000 certified.

Our egg processing staff were invited to an ISO 22000 certification ceremony in September, where we reiterated the scope of the certification and the importance of continuing and adhering to the standards set, all year round.

The staff received acknowledgement for their individual role in ISO 22000.
