Zimbabwean sprinter Gabriel Mvumvure stormed into the Iaaf World Athletics Championships 100 metres semi-finals yesterday after coming third in the first qualifying heat.

Mvumvure clocked 10,28 seconds on a Luzhniki Stadium track in Moscow, Russia to set a date for this afternoon’s semis.
The Zimbabwean crossed the line after winner Kemar Bailey-Cole of Jamaica and France’s Christophe Lemaitre. Mvumvure would again race in the first heat today avoiding Usain Bolt who will run in the third heat.
