ZIMBABWE’S marathon runner Cephas Pasipamiri failed to take part in yesterday’s 14th International Athletics Association Federation (Iaaf) world championships in Russia.

Though reasons for his failure to participate in the marathon could not be established, the athletics’ supreme controlling body’s official website showed that Pasipamiri did not take part in the men’s marathon.

Uganda’s Stephen Kiprotich won the race with a time of 2 hrs 09 minutes.

Meanwhile, Jamaican sensational sprinter Usain Bolt won the men’s 200m.

Bolt who last week won the 100m event clocked 19,66 seconds followed by compatriot Warren Weir who crossed the finishing line in 19,79 seconds.
