Jaure was shown a red card together with Highlanders striker Njabulo Ncube at Barbourfields last month and reacted angrily to the booking.

The PSL Disciplinary Committee comprising chairman Don Moyo, Vusi Vuma and retired referee Brighton Mudzamiri, concluded that Jaure’s action could not go unpunished. The three agreed that the player should be suspended for seven matches beginning with matches lined up for this afternoon.

Apart from the suspension, Jaure was slapped with a heavy US$2 000 fine of which US$500 was suspended for good behaviour for the rest of the season.

According to sources from PSL, Jaure is supposed to pay the fine before December 31.

Jaure together with Ncube missed two matches each for their clubs after the Battle of Cities. The judgement will badly affect DeMbare who will be without him for the six opening matches of the 2014 soccer season.

Jaure, who had a good season both for club and country, was also disqualified for selection for the 11 soccer stars of the years finalists as a result. The announcement was confirmed at Mandel Training Centre yesterday before the selection started.

Two weeks ago, Jaure wrote to the football governing body apologising for his action in that particular match.
