DYNAMOS goalkeeper George Chigova’s move to Absa Premiership side SuperSport United suffered a blow after his former club Aces Youth Soccer Academy (Aysa) wrote to Dynamos describing the move as illegal.

The big goalkeeper last month penned a three year deal with the former Absa champions, but will only join his new teammates at the start of the 2014-2015 season.
In a letter addressed to Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa and also copied to Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa), Premier Soccer League (PSL) and SuperSport, Aysa founder and director Nigel Munyati expressed disappointment in the way Dynamos handled the issue.
“I write to register our extreme disappointment with the unprofessional manner in which Dynamos F.C. (Dynamos) has handled matters related to the transfer of Aces Youth Soccer Academy (Aysa) product, George Chigova. We have been reading with interest in the newspapers of your exploits in transferring George to Supersport United F.C. of South Africa (Supersport),” read the letter.
Munyati added that Dynamos failed to honour their obligation to pay a transfer fee of US$5 000 to Aysa in May 2012 thereby rendering their contract with the player null and void.
According to Munyati, Aysa transfered the player to DeMbare in 2012 on the basis of a Player Transfer Agreement dated March 20 2012 which he said DeMbare failed to adhere to.
The clause clearly stated that Aysa was going to reserve the right to terminate this agreement in the event that Dynamos failed to pay the amount agreed for the loaning of the player.

Munyati said DeMbare failed to pay the transfer amount thereby violating the terms of the contract.
He urged DeMbare to recuse itself from any negotiations for the player’s transfer.
Aysa boss then gave DeMbare up to end of business February 28 to respond advising them on the status of the discussion with SuperSport United.
“Failure of which we will be forced to ask Zifa to intervene and ensure that the transfer does not proceed. While it is not our intention to prevent this transfer from being executed, we are obligated to ensure that Aysa graduates’ careers are managed professionally,” Munyati wrote.
Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa rubbished Aysa’s claims saying that the player belonged to Dynamos and that the academy should have withdrawn the player long back.
“If Aysa are saying we breached a contract in 2012 then where were they last year? They should have withdrawn the player. Now that we are selling the player, they just resurface. They just want to cause confusion because Chigova’s contract with Dynamos expires on December 31,” he said.
Two years ago Aysa nearly withdrew Chigova but later made a u-turn for the sake of the player’s progress.
