Bev’s manager bares all

Beverly Sibanda’s manager, Happaz Mapimhidze has spoken out on how the dancer got to be part of Prophet Walter Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) ministries.

BY SILENCE CHARUMBIRA

His revelations are likely to raise eyebrows among Magaya’s followers.

Mapimhidze, who complained of being sidelined by Magaya, said he and Bev were called by church members to attend a church service one Sunday in January while they were relaxing at the former dancer’s home after returning from Chegutu where they had performed the previous night.

“We had attended a PHD service in December but had almost forgotten about it as we have always sought assistance from different prophets,” said Mapimhidze.

“We went to the service and Magaya suggested to Bev that she change her line of business while promising her a container of clothing from China,” he said.

He said initially he believed they had just been ordinarily invited to the church, but has since realised it was all a publicity stunt.

“It so happened that while we were at the church that first time, a journalist friend called me and I told him we were at PHD with Bev only to see a story in the paper a few days later that we had been to the church,” said Mapimhidze.

“Knowing the nature of Bev’s job, it was sensational that she had been seen in church and I think Magaya then took advantage of that to bolster his media presence.”

Mapimhidze said he has decided to come out in the open because he feels he is cheating God since there is no sincerity in the alleged repentance.

He said numerous other ladies of the night and dancers also went to the church soon after the publication of the story.

“What worries me is that all the other girls that you guys report to have been funded by the church got nothing. Bev was said to be getting a container of clothes from Dubai but she only got money to get wares from Tanzania and South Africa,” said Mapimhidze.

“It is worrying that we used to live a life we could afford but now we have to kneel to the prophet begging for money. We want our lives back. All the other girls are starving and as the person that created and moulded the Sexy Angels brand I have to make sure it does not haunt me. I also need to survive.”

He said Bev has so far benefited in excess of US$10 000 from the church including rentals, welfare, school fees for her child and the shop whose rentals have been paid for three months.

“I am sure the figure now reaches US$10 000 with three months having been paid up on the shop rentals with a year’s lease,” said Mapimhidze.

PHD spokesperson Oscar Pambuka dismissed Mapimhidze as a confused individual.

He said he was shocked that Mapimhidze reports his issues to the media and soon afterwards seeks audience with the prophet.

“Who is Happaz (Mapimhidze)?” quipped Pambuka.

“Happaz was Bev’s manager before she repented and like I said this week (last week) we are not a bank. Happaz came to church expecting money and has realised there is no money because we are not a bank.

“Of all 90 000 congregants, why should we be worried about Happaz? No individual is bigger than the church, even the prophet himself. His issues are minute and we are no longer going to entertain his stories as we have bigger issues to deal with.”

I knew this Bevs thing would invite trouble. Am disappointed in the way it was handled.

This Happaz is what they call in America, pimp. He is now a former pimp to be precise. So his ‘client’ no longer makes him money, he must just move on and groom another gal if the whole church thing is not getting him paid. Happaz is a leach and blood sucker. Bev has a new pimp possibly. Bev is torn between the two. Watch out people, the heat is on. Magaya probably barked up the wrong tree. This thing will smear him ne pendi nhema.

The report should have said BEV’S FORMER MANAGER because she’s no longer in the dance business so she doesn’t need a manager anymore. This might have disturbed Happaz who suddenly no longer has a job!!

Veduwe, maprophets are there to make a name & draw large crowds in order to outwit one another. Luring Bev was meant to attract attention, hoodwink the desperate Zimboz. Bev being a public figure was a perfect target for Magaya and the ill spokesman Pambuka(Pumpkin). They knew that by announcing that Bev was their member, that would make lots of Zimbos flock to their church in thousands given the controvese Bev has been causing for the past 3/4 years. Other church lured Sabhuku Vhara Zipi to hoodwink the Zimbos who are after miracles especially of riches.

Rine manyanga hariputirwe, these so called prophets should know, all their tricks will come out true to us soon. Cry the Desperate Zimbo!!!

magaya’s job is to preach the gospel not to grab people for repentance. Anyone who wants to repent must do so willingly.Bev was supposed to surrender her life to God willingly. No wonder why congregants are dozen n dozen. They expect tangible things.

Mapimhidze “I also need to survive” Ndipo pane nyaya yako yese apa. He seems to be bitter kuti muonde wange uchidonha maonde wakaoma. Saka ave kuita ruzha rwe zhara iri kumba. Remember a hungry man is an agry man. Mapimhidze tsvaga basa utange hupenyu hutsva. Ibva panungo dzekuda kushandirwa wakagara. Hu manager hwako apa hauchashandi nekuti zvave zve mweya. Zviri pachena kuti you are now fabricating stories out of frustration.. Pane chokwadi chiri kubuda kuseri kwe nhema dzako. Bev does not need a manager weku pole dancing now but she needs a counsellor anomubatsira to maintain her deliverance. Your time seems to have expired in Bev’s life. Zarura meso ayo uone.

Conflicts of interests ndiyo ino kwadza waphana .Oscar how can you be a journalist and a church spokes man.going to church is putting wool over your eyes to all the hypocrisy which u duty bound to report.iam sure your goal is to be a regular Henry Gobles monster of propaganda just like Supaman and Professor X.bt don’t us the church. To Magaya Talib Kweli said “nowadays the pimp looks like the reverend and r.everend like a pimp maybe Bev was confused which is which

im surprised by oscar pambuka’s “why should we worry about mapamhidze” in a congregation of thousands. it appears they do worry about Bev in the same congregation. bev herself was practically lured by material “redemption,” the way people are manipulated is infuriating

Do not touch the God’s anointed ones. Its not yet judgement day. God is the only judge.

  14. tina April 4, 2014 at 7:55 pm #

Do not use other people to make money. Let Bev speak for herself if she is happy at church its oky. the manager should move on with her own life she does not own Bev. let God be the judge time will tell. Wishing Bev God blessing in her new life.
