CHAMPIONS Dynamos maintained a faultless start to the 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer campaign, brushing aside Chapungu 1-0 at Ascot yesterday.

Ronald Chitiyo’s first-half header was all the champions needed to get out of the Midlands capital with maximum points.
Coming to the match, David Mandigora was the last Dynamos coach to win at the venue and has managed to repeat the same feat.
The Harare giants had a polished performance, which made sure they preserved a second clean sheet after 180 minutes of football which was made possible today by the excellent defending of Sydney Linyama.
After the match Mandigora said he was happy with his charges’ performance.

“ Maybe it means I am the chosen one to win here. I am also happy for Simba, he played well and it is very good for his confidence,” said Mandigora Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino said he has to work on his attack which is yet to get a goal in two matches.
“That is an area I want to work on. We have not yet scored and we must start getting goals. They [Dynamos] played well and as for us, our game plan was affected by the forced substitution of Maxwell Mavhuto. We are not under any pressure that we have lost at home,” said Nyikadzino.
Dynamos started the match like a house on fire and as early as the first minute, Machapa chested the ball into the path of Mukanga, but the latter blasted his chance over the crossbar.
Moments later Talbert Shumba in goals for the hosts was called into action, again to deal with Qadar Amini’s cross which found no takers in the box. Eight minutes into the match Hillary Mugoniwa got a chance outside the box but blasted his effort wide.
After a quarter of an hour of action, Chapungu’s woeful defending was exposed when Chitiyo — the shortest man on the pitch — headed in the lead.
Ocean Mushure had sent in a curling cross from a corner kick in the box, which Mukanga flicked into the path of Chitiyo to do the rest with the host defense flat footed.
