Chapungu … (0) 3 Dongo Sawmill … 0

A brace from Tineyi Chitora and a Nhlanhla Ncube strike marked a memorable second-half display in which Ngoni Murisa missed a penalty, seeing his weak effort saved by goalkeeper Foward Pfumojena.

The result saw Chapungu jumping to fifth spot on the log, while Dongo remain winless at the basement.

Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino was pleased with the purple patch his team is enjoying having gone for six games unbeaten.

“It is pleasing that we are at least collecting something from each game after starting the season badly. Missing a penalty is part of the game and I am not worried much about that,” said Nyikadzino.

Dongo Sawmill coach Shadreck Magurasave conceded defeat, saying this was their worst display so far.

“This was our worst match, this far. We conceded three goals and we failed to contain them in the midfield in the second half,” said Magurasave.

A masterstroke tactical change at halftime by Nyikadzino changed the complexion of the game which was a big yawn in the first half.
