After last week’s victory in race two at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Jefferies and teammate Rik Breukers from the Netherlands produced another stellar perfomance in Dubai to claim victory in both races on Friday and yesterday.

This weekend’s double left Jefferies and his teammate on course to claim the overall Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Championship title ahead of the third and final round takes, which take place from March 2-4 at the Autodrome International Circuit.

Jefferies will be hoping that his consistent performances in his debut on the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Championship will help him move a step closer to fulfilling his dream of becoming the first African in the modern era to race in the lucrative F1.

The Zimbabwean, competed in Formula BMW Pacific Championship, the now defunct FIA Formula Two Championship, the Indy Lights Championship in the US and the GP2 Series in 2014.

However, lack of sponsorship saw Jefferies — who is the most qualified race instructor in the Middle East — taking up the role of senior race instructor at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
