The group has been together for 35 years and they are still in the game, keeping their fans happy with their music. Black Umfolosi is popular for the hit song that they released in 1990 titled Unity.

One of the group’s founding members, Tomeki Dube said nothing had changed about the group as they were “cooking” good music for their fans.

“We have starved fans big time, but we are coming back soon,” he said.

Last week Black Umfolosi had their first show this year when they did a joint gig with Nobuntu in Bulawayo. “We are back with a bang and it is stronger than before,” he said.

Dube said they would up their game in June, embarking on local shows, before touring Europe and the US. “After local shows, we will tour Florence in Italy, Canada and Austria,” he said.

Black Umfolosi is a seven-member group. Sotsha Moyo and Dube are the founding members of the group that has released eight albums during its 35-year career.
