
Miss Tourism Zimbabwe (MTZ) Trust has refuted claims published in The Standard Style last week that the withdrawal by anchor sponsor Bigtime Strategic Group was necessitated by “differences over planning and alleged misappropriation of funds.”

MTZ Trust, through their lawyers Rubaya & Chatambudza Legal Practitioners said their operations were above board.
They also said the pageant was not being run as an informal entity, but was a registered organisation under Trust No MA1172/20/16.
“There is irrefutable evidence that the pulling out of the sponsor, Big Time Strategic Group, had nothing to do with misappropriation of funds. The trust in question is run professionally, and there are adequate checks and balances and it is impossible that monies which found their way into the trust’s coffers would be misappropriated in anyway,” said the lawyers.
“Therefore, on the basis of the evidence we have, which evidence has always been available to all those who care to request it, this report contains falsehoods.”
